RF WEB DRYING SIMULATOR
VALIDATES WEB APPLICATIONS UP TO 160" WIDE

A web drying simulator that lets companies who use infrared, convection drying, or hot air impingement for their wide web drying applications evaluate high-speed RF drying and determine suitability for their own operation is available from Radio Frequency Co., Inc. of Millis, Massachusetts.

Macrowave™ OmniTherm™ Simulator The Macrowave™ OmniTherm™ Simulator lets companies evaluate RF technology for their own application, which eliminates the heat-up and cool-down times required by conventional dryers, minimizes the quantity of product in the drying cycle, and reduces changeover time. Proven effective for webs up to 160" wide, RF drying features preferential heating to selectively dry the wettest sections of the web assuring uniform moisture content.

Permitting customers to determine scale-up requirements from a pilot sample, the Macrowave™ OmniTherm™ Simulator provides a computerized file of all process parameters, test conditions, and results. RF dryers eliminate the need for accumulation rollers required by festooned convection and infrared dryers, and save floor space, claims the firm.
